Where exactly is he lacking in talent? He got good reviews from way back when he was still a chef. Seems like his books sales were pretty damn good. His tv shows have always done well.

Only reason I go is if my group of friends insists on going and I don't have any other options. I'll say it's not my least favorite bar in the city, but I never seek it out.
What do you get from TL? The couple times I ate it I had to throw it away because it was so salty.

I mostly get the chicken unless there is a special or soup. They seem to go overboard with the seasoning on the meats and toppings so I can understand the too salty comment. Good beer drinking food.

I have to beg to differ on the beer selection. I would hardly say it's minimal. It's not Avenue Pub but they have more than BMC and Abita. It's a lot better than some other frequented bars in the area IMO.
