i'm curious about the intersection itself. it looks like they're making an extended merge lane that crosses beaver bayou (strange because bridges are so expensive) that isn't adjacent to Greenwell Springs
either way, if this is a prelude to four-laning GS to Magnolia Bridge i am all for it.

I think everyone is curious about the merge/intersection... as of now they are building a little tiny 2 lane bridge right next to the existing old bridge... i have no earthly idea what they intend to do with that new 2 lane bridge
if this deters the livingstonites from using GWS though im all for it

Well I know they are putting a light up at the intersection of Frenchtown and the Thruway. That started happening on Friday.
After it is all said and done, they were going back to Frenchtown and redo the bridge on Frenchtown that crosses Beaver Bayou. This was per The Advocate.

BTW "construction" begins today on the widening of 16 north of watson up to the st. helena line along with turn lanes at the new high school to alleviate that retarded mess
