Not saying he is dogging it but what incentive does any NBA player ever have for not giving 100% effort? They get to play a game for a living. Despite that, the fact remains that most players in the NBA don't always give incredible efforts.

I suspect there's not a single player in the league that gives 100% for 82 games. It's physically and psychologically impossible, imo. I just don't think someone can say that EG is not giving effort because he'd rather be somewhere else. If he really wants to be somewhere else and is smart, he'd play his arse off but let management know that he wants to move on. He'd want to increase his trade value.

Agreed, but there are players who get closer than others. The point is that you can't use "what incentive would he have to not hustle?" as an argument for why he is hustling.
