JabarkusRussell Member since Jul 2009 5595 posts	Could Michael Giacchino Compose the New Star Wars Trilogy? (Posted on 1/26/13 at 5:23 pm) I love John Williams but he is in his 80s. If they plan to make Star Wars films for many years to come, there is going to need to be a passing of the torch for the next composer. Giacchino has already worked for Disney with Up and with Abrams on Lost. I can't think of a better fit.

Joel McNeely did a companion soundtrack for Shadows of the Empire when it was released in the 90s that was pretty good.
