The next 6 months is critical for Apple from a perception standpoint as far as the market goes.
They are failng the eyeball test even though they are raking it in.
A lot of this treatment isn't fair, but it is reality.
They still make the best stuff but it is getting stale and they need to shake it up.
The $130 Billion in the bank is nice but they are coasting.
Whatever they have in Ive's lab needs to hit the streets.

The technology just isn't there for much of a shake up. The phones out now are fast as shite. If you doubled the speed of mine it wouldn't make it worth me getting a new phone.

I'm not talking about the handset from a hardware standpoint. The iPhone 5 is a beautiful beast. I do think iOS could use a shake up, though.
The street is almost demanding Apple drop another nuke like the iPad. For the perception that they are on cruise control to be broken, something like that is gonna have to happen.

AAPL's always traded on perception. People always seem to be looking at what market disrupting product they can come out with next. Investors these days almost take the revenue and earnings for granted from Apple and never reward them for it. Which makes the Apple TV all the more important whenever it comes out. It better be ground breaking and something people haven't seen before.

Their marketing campaign seems to be pretty dull these days as well
