Not that it matters, but UCLA is one of the top public universities in the country. Probably top 3-5

No doubt about that, but they aren't "vastly" superior

it's all dem Asian women at UCLA…. hard to turn down 3-4 years of smashing some of that on the reg… but in all seriousness, i wish the kid good luck at UCLA…. i don't think it was the right choice, but it was HIS choice regardless…. i don't get when people come in after a target commits to another school and shits all over him like he wasn't worth the shite in the first place…. if the kid were to pick LSU, then all would be right in the world, the kid is a future all-american, but if he picks another school over us, all of a sudden he's terrible?? we can't get 'em all, guys… we can't get 'em all...

Agreed. I mean, when a kid pulls a Toshiro or Keil then yeah, have at it. He wore LSU gear. Never committed to us and seemed pretty genuine about his recruitment. I really believe he didn't make a 100% choice until this week. This is how a recruitment process should go. He handled himself well.

I don't think you understand what vastly superior means. The difference between an NFL athlete and a high school backup. UCLA is a better school in many ways, but vastly superior is an exaggeration. Sorry you're too stupid/ignorant to understand that.

have any of you ever been to UCLA? its probably the most beautiful campus Ive even seen, 5 minutes from Beverly Hills; I have no idea how they ever lose any recruit they get on a visit. btw, i was called a negative a-hole for 5 pages last week after saying we had no chance at goodman, preist or RN. i wont hold my breath waiting for apologies.

Good, because you are fooling yourself if you think we didn't have a chance.

Because most recruits have one thing on their mind and that's setting themselves up to make it to the NFL. UCLA doesn't give you the best chance to make it to the NFL or experience that CFB experience you get in SE and other schools with more dedicated fanbases. Plus, UCLA is second fiddle to USC in L.A. and that won't ever change.

You shouldn't hold your breath. You saying there is "no chance" for any of those recruits is negative. I wouldn't expect an apology, if it was me. Reality was, we had a very good chance with Willis. He just wants to play with his friend and holds other things as higher priority than being a high draft pick in the NFL and potentially winning a NC. If he truly is interested in the business school at UCLA then good for him. I hope he gets good grades and in 4-5 years he can graduate and be productive in society.

All of you negative arse people need to chill out. To call this young man a "Thug POS" and "Overrated" is bull shite...had he committed to us then you would have been all over his nuts...you people are ridiculous. We can't win all of the recruiting battles so calm down and think about the 2013 class in its entirety. We have a great class coming in regardless. RA, this is not meant to you...I replied to you because you were the last poster.

Would have loved to have this dude, but I can understand him staying at UCLA. Good Luck to him.

You do realize that most of those posts are sarcastic in nature, right? It's the troll response now anytime we don't get a target or something bad happens to LSU. I highly doubt anyone who was legitimately posting on this thread truly believes Willis is "overrated" or a "Thug POS". We all wanted him at LSU.

Well I hope you are right...I may have read it wrong...but at the same time, I don't think stuff like that should be posted. This board is open to the public and anyone can read it. Signing day is not here yet and Les still has an in home visit with the kid planned. Those type of words posted on this board does not help our chances. The public does not know that the posters are playing.
