With the events of yesterday the time has come to get the OB back on track. From this point forward any thread started on the Outdoor Board will need to be Outdoor related. Threads that do not fall under this requirement will either be moved or deleted. Please help us in our efforts to keep this board for its original purpose.

it saddens me that I know if any thread is more than 4 pages, then that thread is either an IM fest or that ugly chick is craving attention again

I agree, but the fact is that most questions are usually answered within a page or two and then we all start bullshiteting about other outdoor stuff because we have nowhere else to talk about it. As you can tell, I've been nonexistent in all of those BS threads.
Eta: I agree with the OP, but there needs to be a place to talk about stuff that doesn't require a separate thread. For instance, when you see a poster comment and you are curious to see how the fishing has been in the area and you have a few sentences back and forth. Those are the kinda of things that clutter up threads and turn them into IMs, but there is nowhere to go chat. More of a reason to add a PM feature on this site.
