Wedding venues in Lafayette... (Posted on 1/22/13 at 11:41 pm)
I'm getting married in August to my old lady. We both live in Austin but grew up in Lafayette. I haven't really been there in a while and I have no sisters that got married. My brother had his reception at a room in the Cajun Dome (wife's parents paid for it). What are some other decent reception venues?

They're all really nice places. If her parents don't mind putting up the cash I would go with the Petroleum Club since its close to downtown so it would be a good place for people to go party after the reception.

I've been to receptions at all places mentioned. One that hasn't is Cretian Point- not in Laffy, but it's a beautiful place. The wedding was there too. NOt sure if y'all want a church and reception.

We already have St. John's booked. Oakbourne is leading the pack (future father in law is a member). We're still gonna look at others for the next few weeks or so. Cretian Point is beautiful though, I grew up near Carencro so I'm somewhat familiar with it.
