| Colston a pro bowl snub? (Posted on 1/22/13 at 9:55 pm)
Just saw that Larry Fitzgerald made the pro bowl for the injured Calvin Johnson. That is a shame my friends. Stat comparison Colston 83 rec 1,155 yards 11 td Fitzgerald 71 rec 798 yards 4 td

I like Larry Fitzgerald and he is a elite receiver. But this year he defiantly didnt deserve it over Colston. Not his fault but still.

Poor Colston. Dude deserves to be there. He's one of the most consistent WR's year in year out. But he doesn't play in a major market and he doesn't run his mouth like the divas so he doesn't get the recognition he deserves.

I love Colston and he deserves to be there, but he doesn't make enough noise ( ) to make it there.

I think inside for him it hurts that he doesn't get the recognition, but I think for him having the career he had when all odds were against him coming out of hofstra he's happy to be making the bucks and winning a ring. nola loves you colston! (hopefully fitzgerald doesn't play so MAYBE colston can get in) I feel bad for dez bryant too, he played well this year and consistent and even though he is on dallas' team he deserves more recognition than fitz and cruz since they both underperformed this year. I mean even jimmy graham who had an off year, but was better than kyle rudolph got "snubbed" as an alternate

Dez Bryant not being named a pro bowler in the first place was a snub and him still not getting to go is the true shame.

It's a fan based vote which means it's a lot via perception. My perception is that Fitz had a QB throwing to him he would've had a much better season as where Colton did have a pro bowl QB throwing to him. Whether it's right or wrong, who's to say?

Obviously Fitz is one of the most gifted receivers in the NFL, but he had a horrific season. Whether it was his fault or not, he did not have a Pro Bowl season. There are so many players more deserving. To name a few, Colston, Dez, James Jones, Randall Cobb, Steve Smith, Roddy White, Michael Crabtree, hell...even Lance Moore had a more prolific season than Fitz! And that's just off the top of my head.

This is partly right. Isn't it only 1/3 fan vote? Aren't the other 2/3 player and coach voting?

You have it right. A wr with less than 1000 yards should never make it to the pro bowl. This is pathetic. There are many more deserving players.

Known as one of the quietest guys on the team and liking it that way I'd guess it doesn't bother him at all. Some people need or crave the accolades and to some they could give a fuk less.

Lance Moore had 243 more receiving yards than Larry Fitzgerald. And two more touchdowns.

someone's argument to me was that fitz had no one to throw him the ball, colston had brees. if that's the case, highest draft pick = pro bowl. justin blackmon should be a pro bowler because he's awesome and had gabbert and henne to throw to him. idiots

Cecil Shorts had Gabbert and Henne, and he had 979 yards and 8 TDs. Significantly more than Fitz in BOTH categories. Cecil Shorts. Cecil fricking Shorts people.

Colston 83 rec 1,154 yards 11 td Fitzgerald 71 rec 798 yards 4 td Moore 65 rec 1041 yds 6 td You can say Moore was a bigger snub, IMO.
