no doubt Landrieu is behind this media spin in favor of Goodell. frick that shit! Goodell was just doing what Tagliabue asked him to do.

I think NOLA just tasked Duncan with trolling because it brings hits to the website, and also because that's what he's good at.

dont think ive ever posted on this board... well anyway, was listening to WWL this morning and they were spewing the same bull shite. Tommy Tucker talking about how we should praise Goodell, and all these restaurant owners that say they arent going to serve him would bring out a table and lay out the red carpet for him if he actually walked in. Really pissed me off hearing that. This dude ruined out entire fricking season, why should we be nice to him? yeah sure, dont kick his ass, or shoot him, but if you dont want to serve the guy food, dont serve him, wanna flip the bird at him, have at it!

OK, I'll tee it up for you all since no one else will. What exactly is wrong with this line of reasoning. The world will be watching, we have a choice as a city. Be perceived as bitter, small-minded, shallow, backwards and inhospitable. Or as gracious, progressive and ready to put the past behind us. Is it possible that future Super Bowls for our city ride on this?

How is our "treatment" of Goodell going to be monitored? I dont understand why people think there will be some world reaction to how we treat Goodell, if we treat him poorly, noone will notice, if we treat him like a king, noone will notice.

You can't be serious. The ridiculous amount of coverage this "Scandal" has received, from all national Sports outlets, make this a natural for Radio Row next week, along with the 4 letter network and others. If we acquit ourselves well, you might be right, but if some Bozo makes a scene, it will be a National story.

There's no way I'll ever be convinced that SP's "statement" was anything but the league strong-arming him at a critical time when we need to hire some new coaches and get ready for the Sr. Bowl. What did you think he was going to say? If anyone deserves the moniker of bitter, small-minded, shallow, backwards and inhospitable, it's Goodell, which unfortunately means that future SB's may indeed ride on how he's received. New Orleanians should be applauded, not Goodell, for the way they've supported this team for YEARS! Yeah, N.O. may cut it's nose to spite it's face, but I don't know too many people in the mood to be ass-kissing, capitulating weasels, which apparently is what JazzyJeff and the Goodell PR machine want. edt: And remember, this is a man who will have a 9 y.o girl in-tow with him to hide behind, knowing full well the situation he's dragging her into. Personally, I find him spineless and disgusting.

They talked Payton on Outside the Lines today, once they mentioned Duncan was the local voice I turned it off.

The Yahoo story was better written and made a decent case for us to treat Goofy with some "respect". If Dicktator really was behind getting the Saints back that is. If it was Tags orders and he was just following, then he's still full slime. This clown Duncan should be tarred and feathered. After he's done polishing Goofells nob, he sounds like he'll ask for seconds. Overall though, I really do hope nothing happens AT ALL. NOLA needs the Superbowl in later years.
