Don't smoke around your kids. Bathrooms have fart fans. Or wait until they go to sleep. I find myself playing a lot longer and get more into the silly stuff with my son when I have smoked.

Well, having drank scotch and smoked pot I can tell you that there is in fact a difference. Having a glass of scotch in front of a kid is no different than having a glass of coke. The kid is oblivious to what your sipping on Burning a fatty in a room with kids in it is a much different animal. The kids will see it, smell it, and possibly be effected by it.

To me, this is irrelevant. Whims of the state don't effect my morals and values.

90% of the people on the OT probably either snuck sips from their dads beers, or their dad may have even let them have sips. But you'll still get a large portion of people here saying smoking pot in front of kids is wrong.

I don't have kids. If I did have kids then I would neither get high or drunk around them. I can wait until the kid has gone to sleep to have a couple beers or take a couple hits off the pipe. I imagine that I will get intoxicated quite a bit less if/when that particular responsibility hits. I wouldn't lie about it, but kids don't need to have great exposure to this sort of thing. This is obviously all conjecture on my part.

I don't know. The cigar kid seemed possibly a bit slow on the uptake.
Naw, he is pretty bright as far as I can tell. The kid is like 5 or 6. I doubt they can get attuned to the differences of smell, especially when they do smoke cigars and several of his relatives smoke cigs.

i always knew when my dad was drinking growing up. So I consider this to be somewhat idiotic. Also, I don't know anyone that smokes in an enclosed area with those who chose not to partake, children or otherwise.

Treat it the same as alcohol. It's a decision for you to make when you're of age.

Well good. What are we talking about then? Telling your kids you smoke the pot? I wouldnt do that. I'd just hide it from them. Problem solved.

Did you really just compare smoking marijuana to snorting and injecting cocaine/heroin? Moron.

Meh. You can't expect to teach your children to do something that you regularly do. Might as well be up front with them. But we have all been stoned to the point of near retardation. That shouldn't happen when you're caring for your child. Especially when they're young.
