Totally agree. I think he is coming in a little undersized and overrated
i don't think he's overrated. it's not like he's being projected to be a 1st or even a 2nd round pick. he's definitely undersized. everyone, nfl scouts, included knew he had things to prove as a true corner, and he was supposed to have the opportunity this season, which obviously didn't happen. so as it stands with that and the off the field issues, he's going to likely be a late round pick or an UDFA. i don't call that overrated. overrated by lsu fans? yeah, very likely

Take this a step at a time : TM7 will get his NFL shot, he will be drafed in the 1st 3-4 rounds. can he make a team roster, yes as a kick returned and Special Team player, can he start as a DB in the NFL, a bit unlikely but he could be back up and situational DB. Impact Player: slim chance, but make a good living for 5-6 years, in the NFL yes. Star in CFL.

He could make an impact a a nickel or free safety. Both of those situations whould allow him to showcase his play making ability.

Nickel back, safety, KR, PR, gunner on special teams. He could even work in on offense in some ways. The dude is a football player with the best ball skills I have ever seen. He might not be my starting CB, but I would definitely find a place for him somewhere. He will have a career in the NFL. And, just because he doesn't make All-Pro, it doesn't mean that he won't be good and have a future. Geez, the standards here are so unbelievably high. No one can meet them.

Do you all honestly see him makig an impact t the next level? I think he is very small after seeing him in person he has to be every bit of 5'8 175. Guys will run over him at the next level. I see him as a good college player but not a very good NFL player
You could not be more wrong. TM7 is a killer. He will manhandle most NFL players.

TM7 is really hoping the Cowboys draft him. He is a smart cookie and looking out for his long term future by trying to take over Sam Hurd's operation on the down low.

Jim Leonhard, Bob Sanders and Antoine Winfield all said hi. His size is not the issue, his issues are. What do you think happens when he starts making money?

Blend between Cortland Finnegan and Winfield. He'll be a solid pro for 10 years, but not a superstar like he was in college.

Was gonna say, he is barely smaller than Courtland Finnegan.

Its not his measurables that set him apart at the college game. Its his ball instincts that will be interesting to see in the NFL...

Tony Carter for the Broncos - 5'9", 175 lbs 27 tackles, 2 Int. Brandon Flowers for the Chiefs - 5'9". 185 lbs 48 tackles, 3 Int. Antoine Winfield for the Vikings - 5'9", 180 lbs 100 tackles, 3 Int. Josh Wilson for the Redskins - 5'9", 188 lbs 74 tackles, 2 Int. Pretty much every team in the league has a 5'9" CB.

Going to be a great pro. I do recall him being in New York as a soph. for being the best defensive player in the nation. Lsu didn't run some gimmicky defense against bull shite opponents. They went undefeated against the hardest schedule ever devised with TM7 as the main cog.

I think his posts purpose is that badger falls in the exception category. Like a DB getting invited to Heisman

Jets are giving him a look, apparently...

troubled former Heisman Trophy finalist Tyrann “Honey Badger” Mathieu is here for the Senior Bowl this week hoping the NFL can give him a second chance for a football career — and he is drawing interest from the Jets.
