Didn't really come into his own until the 90's IMO.

Hard to argue against this as a choice.

frick Freddy Mercury (not literally you homo necros). He may be the best of the 70s and possibly all time, but this is the 80s we're talking about. 5. Vince Neal 4. Michael Huchence 3. Jon Bonfrickin Jovi 2. Sebastian Bach (not the old dead one) 1. Brett Michaels

Rob Halford, Bono, Michael Hutchence, David Lee Roth Vince Neil, and Joe Elliott are deserve consideration, though Freddy Mercury was the best.

So wouldn't that also make him the best frontman of the 80s, too, if he was the greatest of all-time?

Well no. His career as the frontman of Queen was petering out by the 80's. Queen was a 70's band IMHO. Not saying he/they sucked dick in the 80's. I'm just saying...

I was willing to consider the argument that Mercury should count more as 70's since that was their hey day, but this, just kills the argument.

I get what you're saying. You can probably interchange Bonfrickin Jovi, Bach and Michaels. All three exemplify the quentisential 80's badass front man. Not a slight to Axl in the least. He is # 6 on the list.

Badass and Bon Jovi/Brett Michaels should never be in the same sentence.

Double entendre duly noted.

I think it's safe to say that it's pretty well-documented that he did.

Queen was a 70s band in the U.S. but they were still a worldwide phenomenon in the 1980s. They had a little fall from grace in 1982-1983 but came back strong from 1984-1989.
