I'll watch it. The Poe stuff is going to get old quick with me though.
Hopefully kevin bacon doesn't continue to whisper/arrrgghh the entire season like he did in this episode. Batman style.
I was disappointed overall just because there was nothing original about it, but I think it will get better.

The scope of the project gives me hope that it will be good. I think it's a limited run series. There are definitely only 15 episodes this season, not sure if they plan on it being the only season.
So going in knowing they needed to tell a 15 episode story allows the writers to tell a tighter story knowing they won't all of a sudden get another 8 eps added on at the end. It's also allowed them to get Bacon and Purefoy, and all the other recognizable faces we saw tonight.
There had to be a lot of exposition tonight to get us familiar with the characters, hopefully that doesn't carry on too long. There is a lot of potential with this show.

Good pilot. They really cut the shite and got right to it. There were a few small plot holes but no big deal. Looking forward to this one.

Pretty good start. Have a few complaints though. The overacting in the garage was pretty bad. I cringed. Most of the cops so far are pretty cliche. We have the super smart enthusiastic young cop who is a fan of Bacon. The hard arse tough chick cop. And the no nonsense black cop. Also why the frick would Kevin Bacon go off on his own to the lighthouse place? That was pretty stupid. We will see how this plays out though. I will continue to watch for now

After reading the AV Club review, I'm not confident about this series. But I've disagreed with some of their reviews before, so I'm still going to give it a chance.
Critics got to screen the first 4 eps, there were no spoilers in the review, but you could tell that knowledge affected the review.
