I've always had da/sa handguns, but wanted a 1911. Well,I picked up a new Ruger SR1911 a couple of weeks ago and couldn't be happier. Grip angle, sights, accuracy...it just fits.

With everybody buying up every high capacity mag in sight, I've had no trouble getting single stacks.

They're made by armscor in the Philippines. I've heard really bad things about their stock magazines.
If I'm getting a Philippine made 1911 I'm getting the Metro Arms American Classic.

That's exactly what I want. Doesn't have to be tiger but the stainless w brown grip. Nice choice. By far the best model handgun.
