| Any chance Eugene moves to OLB? (Posted on 1/19/13 at 12:43 pm)
Seems like that might be a better fit for him Thoughts?

He'd sit the bench. Even if they move Barrow to the middle, we'll still have three elite talents, in Kwon, Debo, and Tahj, fighting for two spots.

I wouldn't expect him to be an every down guy But I could see him playing WLB in passing situations

I think debo is further behind than the rant leads most to believe. He is an awesome athlete, but is still learning a lot about the position. I think his attitude and athleticism can makeup for that in short time, but than and Kwon are clearly ahead of him.

I can't see it happening with the talent there. He's our nickel back specialist for now

No, but he did play n the box in the 3-2-6 we ran vs Manziel. We finally have depth at lb and don't need to move safeties down there anymore.

Hmm maybe it might be a good idea to move him there against TAMU again next year though

We may run the same formation but we aren't gonna have Mingo and sams speed to help out. Gonna be a tough task for us.

Don't forget Lamar Louis, he played plenty as a true freshmen.

It's his size. He's a very smart kid, so I doubt it has anything to do with learning the position. He's only 200 pounds. He also played most of last season as a 17 year old!! He's two years younger than some of the freshman! I expect him to be the highest draft pick of any LB from LSU in the last 30 years.

He's like 5'9 190. Dont think he's playing LB any time soon.

My thought is that I don't like undersized DE's and LB's. Mingo should've played OLB. Keep Eugene where he's at.

Considering L Louis took over the starting spot and held it once Kwon was injured I would agree he played a bunch last year.

He is way way to small to play LB. He is 5'11" and about 190 lbs. Also we have way less depth at safety than at LB these days. Makes no sense on any level.

He could play OLB if by OLB you mean Nickelback on obvious passing downs.

Is this a joke or something? Eugene is tiny.
