You're a moron. You demand the right to admire a man who opposes their political ideology? Simply because he's black? GTFO of here.

You're hopeless. You're telling us to keep an open-mind while your op is full of stereotypes and BS claims.

A hypocrite you are.

I love how a vocal portion of liberals like to paint all conservatives as super religious. I like to keep my religious views a secret until they insert their feet into their mouths.

Well - I doubt anyone would label me as conservative. But I certainly don't think the President is worth of admiration. Far from it - he deserves ridicule and distrust, just like 99.999% of office holders.

To re direct - I never said his politics have been a success. I simply stated that the right demeans minorities for various shortcomings and prods them to get off their arse and do something then when some one actually does; what do they do ... see my original post. I am not making this stuff up people.

I, for one, do not consider being a 'community organizer' or politician being a success.

It is also worth mentioning that most of the the 'prodding' that this discourse is directed to is for folks who have an entirely different upbringing than the President.

There are plenty of success stories for minority races in the sciences, business, and technology sectors - but these do not receive the sycophantic praise and adulation that come with political office.

How does the right demean minorities? For shortcomings? Who said minorities have shortcomings? What are you even talking about? Minorities and other groups themselves try to play the race card too much. I am a Republican and do not care about race. I want everyone to be treated equal, work as hard as they can, and equally support the government through taxes. I am not for or against any race.

prods them to get off their arse

I think we all want people to get off their arse and work. There are way too mayn lazy people (of all races) that sit home and collect welfare/food stamps and dont even look for a job. Thats the problem with this country. We believe the government should give us free food/shelter/water/ and necessities when we should be working for them. No wonder we are 16 trillion in debt and counting, because people dont give a shite about working hard, pride, and supporting a family.

The President in office is a great accomplishment for the black race, but why does it need to be celebrated? Who cares what race he is? We should care more about his values, intentions, and political agenda instead of his race.

This is the problem with America. It is a bunch of people who take things too far, get offended, and are a bunch of pussies. America was built a great nation and people fought for their freedom, but America has gone downhill and fast. Maybe one day we will be able to turn around this great nation, but until then we will continue to be the laughingstock of the world.

I don't disagree, but I think leaches in general are more of a target from the right than are minorities.

So you're attacking them for disliking a minority president that you apparently are admitting has been a failure? What do you expect them to say? "Well, he's been terrible for small businesses and employment, and he's a big reason that I'm being taxed at a higher rate than I have since Clinton, who at least turned the high taxes into a surplus, but at least he's a minority doing something?"

And as mentioned, becoming president is a huge accomplishment, but what has he actually DONE? Every one of his jobs that he's held have been dependent on tax dollars. A vast majority of the country works for the private sector, and he has no idea whatsoever how that works.

And yes much much worse that I won't put on here. You would think he would be promoted to young blacks as a role model, but instaed he is demonized. I mean damn I guess he is damned if he does and damned if he doesn't?!?

I'm guessing you would think that it is every ones responsibility to make sure blacks succeed, and if they don't, then certain people should take care of them.
