Actually, last week waiting for the doctor to come in and tell us the results of my son's tests. There was a chance he was terminal, and while waiting for the doc, I had to leave the room a couple of times to throw up. I have never been so terrified and then so grateful in my entire life.

Hit right where I was aiming, thankfully we were at perfect angles and she was hunched over. Hit her in the right shoulder.
Room was pitch black. There was supposed to be NO ONE in my house but me. Only reason I heard her was because I woke up to use the bathroom. The accidentally knocked something off the kitchen counter making a lot of noise. Before I could get the lights on, she slung the bedroom door open. In my mind, I pictured someone coming to kill me then rob my house. I reacted, shot 4 times, he screamed...then chaos insued.
Knocked her up 3 days later.
Looking back, i know I should have identified my target, but when it's happening, my fight/flight response kicked in.

No, only hit her once in the shoulder. Had FMJ rounds in, didn't hit bone, only flesh wound.

It happened in June. We are getting to where we can joke about it some. She will say something ridiculous, I will shake my head and say, "see, that's why I shot you."
She has never pulled "the incident" as a trump card to get her way though.

Riding a "puddle jumper" from D.C. to New Wark one night flys into a thunderstorm. Plane is shaking violently enogh to make my drink spill out the cup about this time im not scared yet just nervous then an old stewardess walking the isle looks at me and says" that should'nt happen" thats when i got scared.

I've only been truly scared 2x in my life, everything else was manageable.
First, on a small jet, we had just took off and was maybe 35-40 feet off the ground and a crazy wind gust hit us and the plane went from horizontal to what felt like 60 degrees vertical and the jet engines kinda hiccupped. Was pretty sure I was a goner. Takeoff had been delayed 20 min. because of the winds.
The other time was just a massive feeling of helplessness. I was working in bars at the time and my gf that I was getting pretty serious with was a badass lady cop and lived a hour away. The plan was she was going to her best friend's bar her friend owned w/ her husband and I'd drive down as soon as I got off since the bars there stayed open til 5am and we'd close the place down in big fashion.
I get my bar cleaned up and closed down quick and check my messages as I'm walking out the door. My gf left me a voicemail saying "Hey just wanted to tell you I'm going to the hospital, I got gang banged and I'm messed up pretty bad." I panicked bad, I thought the worst, that she had been out and 6 dudes gang raped her something terrible. I hit the interstate driving 95mph not knowing where I'd find her and just losing my mind.
Luckily she called me about 15 minutes after I left and told me what happened and that she was at home. There was a group of 25 or so Vietnamese gangster types in the bar and they got kicked out by the owner. So when the crowd thinned out, they came back to get revenge and rob the place. Her cop instinct took over and she got beat down helping protect her friends. Was a bad deal, she had friends that were Lao gangsters and there were a couple shootings that resulted from the incident. I've been through some shit, but never scared like that.
