I saw on CNN that the crime rate and burglaries doubled in Australia when they took the guns a few years ago. They believe it was a mistake, according to the network news.

Dumbass Australia deserves to be at the bottom of the earth as well as having the top 10 most venemous snakes in the world imo. That place is a shithole, and I'm not saying this just because of their gun policies. It really is a shithole by developed nations standards.

If those are the guns being destroyed, what's the big deal:
ETA: actually, I just saw a Wikipedia article about it. Apparently the buy back was compulsory. So yeah, kind of a big deal.
