i ousted myself...to many last minute " i want this and thats" in the voting thread. this has been a bigger clusterfrick than the last time i tried this

to be fair, I didn't visit the board for ONE day, and in that time two different voting threads were created and drama has caused nuclear destruction. I think it would make more sense to set a specific time table (two weeks) for people to make nominations, two weeks for people to vote. And, this information should have been put in a stickied thread so that everyone (even if they didn't view the board for 24 hours) would know exactly what is going on.
You just kind of arbitrarily decided to end discussion and take a vote one day. Of course people are going to scramble to get their ideas in. But, giving specific dates with time tables would resolve this issue, and everyone who misses could just go screw themselves.

I asked in the thread if everyone was ready to vote, no one disagreed. So i said ok, i will put it together for tomorrow. We had no issues until all these people who i guess never saw the suggestion thread for the week it was there started to try to make suggestions in the voting thread. It was pretty smooth sailing all day yesterday until i left work at 5:30 and by the time i got home from work all hell had broken loose, so i washed my hands of it. Putting specific dates and times in the suggestion thread would have done no good, i doubt most of those people even looked at the suggestion thread until the voting started.

Exactly.
The thing is, sometimes the only time posters will look at or contribute to a thread is if it looks easy to, like with a vote. When they saw that it was a vote thread it invited them in, then they had 2 cents.
That's why I said to only count the M/TV Board regulars.

But, they would have read the post, saw the dates and known that the suggestion period was over. It would have been more official than a random comment buried on page 10 of the thread.

i don't think that is necessary. I think putting specific dates for taking suggestions would have been sufficient. If someone didn't get in their idea in 2 weeks time, screw 'em.

i think a week is plenty, if you cant get it in in a week, you obviously dont come to this board enough to be that invested in what the logo should be, thats JMO though

I like your black and white logo the best. But, just because you asked if everyone would like to vote prior to Stout posting his logo ideas, doesn't mean that his ideas shouldn't be considered. I think his ideas are crap and would hate to see them on this board. But, his ideas should be heard and let voting decide.
It may not have been intentional, but doing the voting thread the way you did (with the timing of Stout posting his ideas), made it appear that you wanted to get a vote in on just your logos without his even receiving consideration. Doing so was only slightly better than what Sentrius did. In fact, I'd say that Sentrius was pulling a "Godfather".

Im not 100% certain, but im fairly sure i called for the vote before Stout even posted, if not, it was close. So it had nothing to do with stout, i promise
and i did include his idea in the vote...if i didnt put his in there at all, or buried at the bottom of the voting you could say that i was trying to push him out, i did no such thing. And i surely didnt add commentary to it like someone else did with theirs, ha
and i do agree with this..

i was never trying to not let his be heard, and its not like he has all these different variations, its the same exact thing in different colors, and that wasnt done until last night, it had nothing to do with my voting thread. i cant leave something out that wasnt there
