Looks like Muncie wasn't fine with realizing he had no shot to start with the emergence of some of the freshmen like Debo Jones and Kwon Alexander and the return of Tahj Jones.

I just compared the 2013 roster vs the 2012 roster. The following underclassmen are no longer listed on the 2013 roster (in addition to those who declared for the draft.)
Dexter Alexander Chris Davenport Cleveland Davis Nic Jacobs Vincent LeDuff Luke Muncie Jerrard Randall Paul Turner

From that list of players no longer on the LSU roster, I believe Jacobs & Muncie were the biggest losses. Muncie also provided depth and could play special teams. I suppose Turner could not see himself climbing up the depth chart very quickly.
Good to see that Magee & the freshman DB's who were redshirted last season were still on the roster.

These types of decisions don't trouble me. It is normal for a kid to decide that he would prefer to transfer and get to start somewhere else rather than sit behind a freshman. It doesn't necessarily mean the player bears any ill will. We just had a number of players choose to go pro under odd circumstances - i.e., they are not guaranteed to be high picks - that has caused a bit of a panic.
