I been told Gdrive is good. I dislike Google.

I use flash drives... but I actually hang out with real people in real life... away from the CPU.

Yep. I get plenty of them at conferences so I have a stash of music floating around at most times.

I do the flash drive thing. I got hundreds of them laying around. Or old school CD depending on the person.

dropbox

1) set up a folder
2) share with your friend
3) copy and paste (DO NOT DRAG AND DROP OR YOU LOSE THEM ON YOUR COMPUTER)
4)....
5) profit

Spotify is the easiest way to share music, if what you want to share is available.

I can't believe people still burn music CD's or waste time putting stuff on flash drives when you have resources like spotify and dropbox.

i'm trying to share with a friend that doesn't have spotify or dropbox , not everybody is so techy . there's something giving someone a mix is special, and then finding that mix cd later on and relistening to it.

capacity
speed

Those are the two most obvious reasons. I'll use dropbox or spotify if I'm sending something to a friend in Chicago, but it's way easier and faster for me to drag and drop to a thumb drive and physically hand it to a friend. Flash drives don't expire, either.

I have a server where I can host files and are accessible. I share a lot of things - books, movies, music - this way.
