| How is LSU tennis looking this season? (Posted on 1/14/13 at 5:57 pm)
I am interested to see how Boris Arias does. He is considered to be one of the top freshmen coming in this year. I wonder if he can take #1 from Borsos. I have always thought Borsos was a good player but a little over his head at #1. Chris Simpson had a really solid 2nd half to the season last year and I expect him to improve. The sophomore from Derby England should be a solid #3. After that its guesswork as its hard to tell how good the new freshmen will be. your thoughts?

Attending LSU tennis matches is exactly quite enjoyable. You can heckle the opposing players (they are literally 20ft away from the fans) and most give u a response back. LSU tennis match + large redneck daquiri = pretty fun afternoon!

Most tards have no clue about tennis or how difficult it is to play at a high level. The quickness, conditioning, hand-eye demands and mental aspects of tennis are so far over their heads that their ignorance is exposed by their comments. Of all the sports, it is perhaps the most challenging sport, physically and mentally. Take a look at Nadal or Djokovic and tell me those guys aren't world class athletes. As for LSU Tennis, I think we will be in the middle of the SEC which like football, is the toughest conference (although the PAC 12 and ACC aren't bad either).

It has nothing to do with that. The fact of the matter is this guy asked how the tennis team will be this year and outside of a very few people nobody has a clue about the tennis team. It has nothing to do with people not respecting the sport or thinking tennis players are not athletes. It's okay if you played tennis in high school. Get your panties out your vagina.

I don't know anything about LSU tennis, nor have I ever watched an LSU tennis match, nor do I play the sport, but I do get sick of rantards who make fun of fans who actually care about LSU sports other than football. Those who have nothing to add other than lame jokes about no one caring about tennis should leave this thread for those who do care and quit trying to boost their post count. (UpToPar, this isn't directed at you.)

The minor sports at LSU are some of the most bang for your buck entertainment around. They usually are relatively exciting bc LSU is good in most sports plus they are usually pretty lax on alcohol consumption.

don't direct this at me. Tennis is actually my personal favorite sport. I go to most of the Clemson matches. I know UGA owns the SEC in tennis most years with occasional runs by Ole Miss,Florida and Tennessee. Aussie Open coming on in 20 minutes.

Another example of " if we field a team we should try and be good" that I have written about many times. We have a new women's coach and are building new facilities (way overdue) and like others on this thread agree it is a fun and cheap way to watch some great athletes. Uga is sec dynasty but there are some other great teams and hopefully we can have a competitive team gong forward. Which we have rarely had.
