I would say this is the most wide open the Oscars have been in a long time. There is no clear cut favorite. Lincoln is your leader by default at this point.

it really goes to show you how much the Academy frowns upon bigger name celebrities like Leo, Ben Affleck, etc.
Affleck just cleaned up at the Globes and has best director, actor, and motion picture nominations at the BAFTA's, but couldn't even get nominated at the Oscars.

the BAFTA awards are truly the most legit in most cases. the majority of the world outside of the U.S. consider them a bigger deal than the Oscars anyways.
