Killed one at my parents that was 7ft long can't remember how many rattles, 18 I think. Dad took'em even though he didn't kill it and wouldn't touch it. Me and my bro ate it.

Had a cottonmouth get in the boat with me one time that I thought was about that big. I measured it after death and it was only about 3.5 ft though! Damn they seem bigger up close and alive!

Was yo-yo'ing and this f$%ker was in a tree and drop into the boat. My BIL jumped out (stupid bastard). I had a pistol, but better sense prevailed. I hit his arse with the boat paddle and it broke leaving me with about a 7inch piece left in my hand. I stunned him so I started stomping his head while pinned with the dip net.
This all occurred in a 12 ft jon boat. Wish someone had it on video. There was some curse words said.
