It's about 6 ft deep across the bottom . The top of the ridge on the other side is the property line that's my issue . That bottom is usually a natural funnel for the deer .

Thats crazy must have been a lot of rain up there.. I would hunt the higher ground in that case but still set up so you can see down in the natural funnel just in case..
I saw a 7 point cross an 8 foot deep section of one of our creeks the other week, they arent bad at swimming, but i assume they can just go around your pond. They have no choice but to cross the creek down here.
