The 3 and outs from the offense didn't help the stamina at the end of those games for our defense.

Are you suggesting playing over 100 plays on defense has nothing to do with an inept offense? That is the proper use of inept FYI

Agree totally, once again, not blaming the Defense, but to put it all on the offense, (at the risk of redundance) is a shallow/narrow observation imo

Please forgive me ... but I must ask ... do you even watch the games ... or perhaps just the final 5 minutes or just the highlights?

I never understand it. Dipshits keep blaming the defense that ranks in top almost every year, but they fail to see that the offense ranks in the bottom half almost every year. There is only one reason for this. They can't stand to put any blame on miles and his offense. PERIOD. Everybody in the world knows our defense is stout. The only part that holds us back is our pathetic piece of shite offense. The only people that don't see that are the miles loyalists. Ask every miles loyalists on this board what happened in the bama game. They will all say defense choked, but not a single one will blame the "mad hatter" calls. None of them will mention that we could have put game away if we converted on our last drive

Bottom line is that if our offense could even come close to rising up to typical level of our defense ... then our season would basically boil down to maybe 2-4 games against teams of similar caliber (Bama, UF, UGa, bowl perhaps). Our offense is typically the reason that we have fricking nail-biters against inferior teams....and have for quite some time now. And this is not all on the players on offense ... because we know they have talent.

And so is Tharold Simon who could not cover this dude. The offense SUCKS. Everybody knows this. But the defense allowed some long drives by Clemson in the first half before they were "tired". fyi..The Clemson offense outgained LSU 248-106, held the ball for 18 minutes and eclipsed 50 plays in the first half.

] Secondary had issues late in the season and sucked the last third of the year. Offense sustaining drives will help in that regard. I think the defense just wore out and the lack of depth was exposed.

It's obvious the D wasn't as good at 70pts more surrendered than '11 D, but the O could've helped with ball control late. I've retracted my thoughts on tired defense since finding the D was on the field 1.5min longer than '11 team in avg TOP. I think most expected a drop off in D, but hoped the O would pick up where it left off plus better passing to cover it up, hence all the butthurt posts.

It is really sad. The crappy offense has kept teams in many games over the years. If they were just decent the defense wouldn't be put in position to lose some of these games. They want to call us out for wanting improvements. It is scary they idolize miles as if he is a god and can never admit he has faults. This just in if the defense lost the Bama game on 1-9

Damn right ... can't get burnt if you're on the sideline (BEING COACHED) and the O is on the field hammering out a 10-play, 80 yard drive for a TD over 7 minutes. 3 & out gives you just enough time to get a damn drink of water ... and then back in to try and carry the day.

Butthurt equals reality in the mind of the pumper? It's pretty obvious to most of the football world that the offense has issues. This really isn't opinion or "butthurt."

LSU had the lead. Defense also gave the offense a short field. Our offenses inability to convert 3rd and short killed us.

scoring more and not putting our defense in a vice every play would be wise don't you think. If you want true balance in football then you should have balance of OFFENSE aka scoring points, special teams, defense. The past year it's been 10% offense 60% defense 30% special teams.

What if the defense was ranked as bad as the offense?

Agree, I was just saying from the beginning that we had a better than good chance to have won the Bama and Clemson game. Had the defense stiffened, just a little, those were W's. I know the offense didnt pull its weight, but the facts are just that. The facts.
