"I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt" bull shite makes me sick. Les Miles has been at our university long enough that we know exactly what he is. He has amassed a good record. He is an above average recruiter in a very target rich environment. He is a good man. He is a terrible gameday coach. He has terrible clock management skills. He does not know how to finish close games. He is not a good play caller. This is who he is. The benefit of the doubt bullshite, and the behind the scenes act of this being a matter of National Security is a bunch of crap. Do what you have to do. Make the changes necessary so that you don't need to be concerned with play calling anymore - you are terrible at it. Watch tape of other teams and how they use their time outs and finish games. Learn how to manage the clock. How about some level of transparency. How about saying, yeah we have problems on the offensive side of the ball, and we are going to make the necessary changes to fix that situation. Why is everything a secret? Say we have to change. What's wrong with that? When we had the co-defensive coordinator situation, he had to make sure he got these guys other jobs before he got Chavis. That is not his responsibility. Do what you have to do keep your program on top. Why do we put up with this shite from somebody that we pay top dollar for?

OK... this is officially the best User Name in history... "Everyone in the German Army knows Mr. Hugo Stiglitz..." One of the best movies ever even though you know it's totally make believe and has nothing to do with history... Bravo

ummm...ok...not exactly sure what Miles meant about being happy over sending players to the NFL early...but how bout our first priority being winning the SEC,2nd winning a NC,3rd the players turning pro? Anyone have problem with that? If I am reading or understanding this wrong, someone please step up and point it out...

So I guess you'd prefer to leave things "as is" sunshine pumper? Without all of the pressure from "rantards" and "negatigers" and people that are not in denial, Les would likely keep the status quo. That is not acceptable. You look dumb as he does coaching offense when you make comments like that.

Horrible analogy on every level. It's so bad that if in your mind you think this is a good comparison then I don't even know how to explain this to you or where to start.

You think way too highly of yourself. I seriously doubt that Miles has ever made a decision based on the whining of the rantards and negatigers.

In my world you are not being negative if you desire to improve. Les gets paid too much to be given a pass on a dysfunctional offense. Im sure he'd rather leave it alone as he has done the last couple of years but we all see how that has worked.

My post obviously went over your head. You implied that Miles has been "forced" to make changes because of the displeasure of the rantards and negatigers. Miles does not make decisions based on a bunch of whining on a message board.

Miles is sending a message to future recruits that HIS program is where you want to be when considering a NFL career.

Repetition for emphasis, which is appropriate, in this case, to get the point across. Let's just hope the Advocate isn't able to cut/paste from articles from previous years on a regular basis.

You must have not read the article because the answer to your question was plain to see. “I want to serve my team and my coaches and the people that show up in that stadium,” he said. “I always want me to give us every opportunity at victory, and I think we did, to a certain extent, but I’d like to have a couple of calls back. So I fell short. Blame me for that.” Miles admitted there’s “a need to execute this offense in a more effective manner.” He added, “that’s something we’re all looking to get accomplished.”
