where do you guys go around BR? I'm planning on shooting a lot this offseason because I couldn't hit anything worth a crap this season.

I usually go to tallow creek. They have skeet, trap, 5-stand and sporting clays. Haven't been in a while, but dieing to go myself.

Plus those red hand-throwers are the best practice. They never follow the same trajectory twice.

Spelling Bee.

And that's not a complete sentence either.

That was actually the third time I misspelled it before I settled on that one.

You could always hook up with me. I have a good set up and shoot in my yard. Just outside of New Roads. Bring shells and clays. Beer too! If you want.

I've always enjoyed Hunters Run across the river.
Only bad thing is they are closed on Mon/Tues, and I like to shoot early in the week.

Not a bad place to get a round of clays in. The sporting clay "course" is nothing fancy, basically shooting stands lined up down a limestone road. But the shooting is fun, the setup of the targets is usually interesting.

One suggestion. Even though they post most private events on their website, make a quick call before you go to be sure that the course is not closed for a private function. I've showed up and found that the sporting clays course was closed even thought the event was not listed on the web.
