He's a good team mascot but let's not get carried away. There's some bad european teams, think harder here
To add, remember last year when Trent Johnson took us to Europe and we clowned on some teams? Those were professional european teams.

It's a great story. The kid has worked his tail off and come miles from where he started, you just can't take that away from him. But his footwork still has a looooong way to go and his late defensive rotations are killing us on that end. He's earned the minutes he's played because we have no post options. Courtney is the only other option and he's just not getting it done coming off of his injury.

Exactly. There's a shitload of teams overseas. Hell making the D-league can't be too hard since Garrett Green is there.

Is amazing he knows d rotations. Plenty of talented players never learn it. It's a reason why Davis minutes have give down a little lately. He's learning that being athletic in nba won't make u the best. I guess that's why not athletic players tend to be smarter.

Yep. There's over 200 professional basketball teams in Europe. I can see him breaking in a roster over there, plus, it's fricking Europe, as long as you dont go Bosnia and Herzegovnia, you should have a great time.

I think this is the bigger thing... He *has* come a really long way. Especially for those of us who saw his 1-2 minute cameos in the previous seasons. I think Matt Doherty said it best on the broadcast - "Imagine if this kid was a sophomore." He has made amazing progress, and maybe he has more to go, but personally feel like he's too close to what his ceiling as a player is.

Thank you for being a voice of reason in here. It is a good story and I think people are jumping on his bandwagon with that alone. But lets be real his foot work is sloppy and his shooting is terrible. not to mention when he runs down the court he looks like he is about to fall over any minute. Oh and euro sucks so like I said no real accomplishment there and they don't pay their professional athletes like we do. so odds are he wouldn't make that good a living over there because he would just be average.

Knowing it is easier than doing it for ADP right now. He ain't getting there on time and it ain't because he ain't trying.

Seriously, that is what you take out of it? All I was doing was stating a fact because someone said he could make a good living over there. My point I was making by that is he could make a better one here working a real job with his degree in whatever it is.

Oh I know he's slow recognizing it. Was just pointing out it's amazing he can even recognize it being so new to game.

I hear MLS players in the United States get paid less generally Premier League players do, maybe you can clarify though, kthx

He isn't HALF the player Hasheem Thabeet was when he was a freshman in college. How is his NBA career working out?
Thabeet is only 25 years old, but has grossed over $10 million in 3 years and is currently making $1.2 million while playing for the Oklahoma City Thunder, who are one of the favorites to win the NBA title this year... so I would say it is working out OK. ... and Del Piero has better hands.

WOW! This is seriously the dumbest thing I've ever read on the Rant...and that is saying something. Before you ask if I watched Shaq..yes I did. And I went to Dale Brown BB camp when Shaq, Chris Jackson, Singleton and Stanley Roberts were there. Absolutely horribly ridiculous statement.

Food for thought... I was in school the year after Stanley Roberts left school. He got a job for a team in Europe. Apparently he made $3 million there. Came back to the Tiger Bar and paid for everyone's drinks for the night.

No, a cool story is just that, a cool story. But to evaluate talent is something different.
