Feral husky or coyhusky, way too big to be a yote.

Last documented in la in mid - to late 70s Not too far from Klondike LINK Heart worms wiped em out...but theynwere smaller than grey wolves

At first, my brother claimed he shot it near McComb, MS. this morning saying he didn't know what it was. I was about to post it here, when he fessed up that it was killed in Africa. His daughter is volunteering there and it was living in the attic of a house. Took a few days for the villagers to get it out/ kill it.

I knew it looked like something I've seen on Discovery channel about Madagascar. Not nearly as funny as the cartoon.

I think a grey wolf is a timber wolf, same thing. They are rare to non-existent down here. (SELA and southern MS)

No wolf. His muzzle is too thin.

Alextiger They attempted to restock some here and all died of heart worms There were some scattered reports into the early 80s but this was also the rise of the coyote invasion And the red wolves are not much bigger than a coyote...at least not the ones I saw, which were in a cage

I personally saw a wolf killed by my friend in 81 near Kinder (bout 29 mi north of Welsh) We were deer hunting and it walked out across an open field. Don't remember the details, but we called a game warden and he documented it and said it was a wolf. Ill call him tomorrow and ask what the specifics of the wolf were.

Usually a helluva lot larger than a yote. Not easy to tell at a distance but up close you can't confuse the two. Hybrids are a bit more difficult to distinguish. A wolf's paw is very large though.

About 20 years ago my brother killed what we still think was a wolf...wasn't furry like that one. Had a red tint to it, was huge and had a giant chest and small back end. First time i saw it the hair stood up on the back of my neck...
