Anyone who thinks the government is on the verge of confiscating all weapons in America is a lunatic.
But, there's no doubt the left wants to disarm the population. The first ban is a step in that direction. After that line is drawn, a future incident will heed a new call to action, and a further ban.
Increments. Its how the left has redefined this country. Anyone who denies that is a lunatic.

I do. The left would outlaw all guns tomorrow, if they felt they could get away with it, but they know they can't....yet. Baby steps. Little increments. Chip away a little at a time. The libs are a very patient bunch. This country has been on a steady leftist trajectory since Wilson.

Not banned, they take a clean record, lots of time, leg work and money... They are registered, there have been only a handful of crimes committed in the last 80 years ad no new machine guns have been added to the list since 1986...

this. They'll get magazine restrictions and outlaw certain "assault rifles". Then in 5 years they'll expand the definition of both. Then in 10 years it's all semi-automatic guns. The government is a long long way from knockin on our doors, but saying it could never happen is stupid.
