These couple beers both started out with a "Damn, that sounds good" and then evolved through "wonder how it would be with _____ instead?" And I told you I really liked that pecan warmer

Could you post a link to the recipe? Or does anyone have a recipe for an Orange beer? I have a bunch of grapefruit/orange trees.
LINK We use the RyePA kit from Northern Brewer but we pretty much completely switch out the hops for Summit Citra Amarillo Falconers Cascade and dry hop with falconers... Then freeze, sanitize and cut in half 4-6 grapefruits added to secondary for a week with dry hops.

That's how I usually roll. I think I've followed a "recipe" exactly once, and I wasn't happy with the result. I'm more of a tinkerer by nature, thus all the beers I've made have had something "different" in them.

Thanks. I finished off the keg last night, cleaned the keg and line, then kegged my Belgian pale ale. I think I'm gonna like that one. It's really light in color, but it's kind of deceiving, because it ended up around 7.7%. The wife enjoyed the taste she had as well, so hopefully she will help me with it. Gonna brew the peanut butter chocolate stout again to bring to Zapp's International Beer Fest in April.

Anything going on with that one?

Much appreciated. Going to save that one for the future. Couple quick questions: How well does a swing top growler hold carbonation? Do the bottles need to be kept cold while carbonating? And, the growlers are bubbling, but the regularly seeled bottles are not, is it a cause for concern?

Great. I've bottle conditioned in them before.

No, typically room temp.

Not sure what you mean by this...

I used individual flip top growlers and regular 12 oz bottles. The 12oz bottles aren't bubbling, but all of the growlers are bubbling (and one growler had a little bit of discharge come out of the top).

Not sure. Are the beers suppose to bubble?

I didn't think you were suppose to use growlers for natural carbing a beer since the glass isn't strong enough to withhold that kind of pressure. Could be wrong though.

Nothing should be coming out your bottles They aren't sealed tight enough or the gaskets are bad
