Clover is good year round LabLab in the Spring Jointvetch, Soybeans, and corn in the summer Also, Buy 4 or 5 50lb sacks of salt (about $4 each), a sack of trace mineral (about $12), and a sack of dicalcium phosphat (about $20). Mix it together and make a bunch of mineral sites. Spring and summer nutrition is vital for herd health and often overlooked. Helps the mothers that are pregnant and nursing and, in turn, helps fawn health and mortality rates. Also, aides in antler growth.

This time of year, its easier to plant my arse in my recliner than to worry about food plots.

You can get that at a feed store or Co-Op. You can also plant Roundup Ready Soybeans in April or so.Once established you can spray them with roundup and it kills grass but doesnt kill the beans. The deer at on mine until late October.

The roundup ready soybeans are great. I heard the sun hemp is badass and even better if you plant peas with it bc they'll climb the hemp. The hemp and corn both are good bc they provide cover too.
