I been trying to get one for under 8 g's for 2 weeks and it seems by the end of the auction someone always jumps in and make a bid for way too much. How can i get me a ebay car for a good price?

I only reasearch cars on ebay to see the pics and prices, not sure I would ever buy a car without ever seeing / driving it so I'm of no help.
But good luck! And the bidding at the last minutes and overpaying for something happen all the time on ebay for any product.

I've gotten to where I don't bid until the last 10 to 20 secs on an item as others will just continue to bid it up to an unreasonable level. In the last 10 secs if I can't get it at the price I want I just move on.

My dad bought his last two cars on there.
He uses a "sniping" software that waits until the last half second the bid is open and places a bid $0.01 higher than the highest, within given parameters.

I bought my last truck on ebay. No problems whatsoever. I just made sure the guy had GREAT feedback on his account.

I use one for everything I buy on eBay.
It submits a bid with 6 seconds left. I enter a max value I want to pay and it submits it.
If my bid is too low, I'll just try again on a similar item.

bought a jeep on there in 2004. still running fine. a/c went out immediately but was covered under the extended warranty--brand new one for $50.
i don't think i paid him for it online though. i seem to remember giving him a check after i checked it out.

Bought a Land Rover on Ebay in Florida...bought one way $100 plane ticket to Miami. First time I inspected the car..I drove it 15 hours back to BR. Totaled it last year and insurance company paid me $2000 more than what I'd bought it for 3 years prior!
