Send him to Juventus we've got some horrible strikers that are given chance after chance, he can find his form again in Turin

If we could get near half of what we paid for him, I'd be all about getting rid of him. At this point it's unfair to him and the club.

That would actually be pretty cool and I like Juve too but I still stand firm by what I said earlier ...

I completely agree with this. Although there's no way any move regarding Torres will take place this month. The summer may be interesting, however.

I'd take 10 mil in a heartbeat. He is never going to return to form but his brooding presence in the dressing room is going to be an issue again.

if van basten had kept trying to play after his injuries he'd be seen in the same light, too

I may be one of the few, but I believe he still has that (video) in him... and think the decline is less physical and more mental...
He played with such confidence back then... I dont know what it would take to get that back...

Honestly if that was really all I could get for him I'd still probably do it. I think him being around and not playing again is going to be awful for him and the team.

man i don't think he's nearly as fast as he was back in the day, and that was a BIG part of his game
skills he honed for 20+ years don't erode, but he built his game on speed and lost it. his mental state crumbled
i think he could mold himself into a good (and different) player, but he's got to want to make the change. i don't think he will, b/c he'll just see it as a true signal of failure and lose any desire/confidence

Maybe was is the word ... but I would say yes at his peak he was.

This combined with a slight change of style from LFC's system to Chelsea's system is the reason for his decline.

If you watch that video, there were many times when he gets on the ball and shoots... doesn't think... he was a confident striker.. knew they were going in..
I dont see that at Chelsea...
I wont disagree he lost some of his pace, but he was never a Walcott...
** By the way, my favorite still is when he throws Pepe down and scores against RM... When we beat them 4-0 in CL at the Bernebau...

The sad thing you could make a Chelsea video twice as long just with all the times he's fallen down on the ball or missed easy chances.

I have some wonderful memories of that Torres song. It seemed like everytime they sung it the supporters were vocalizing pure love. It sounds cheesy but go listen to it on youtube. They truly loved that kid with all of their hearts. I'll always wish the best for him, and I'll always get goosebumps listening to that song.
