We have two groups:
Conservatives are overwhelmingly Pro-Life, Pro-Gun Rights
Liberals are overwhelmingly Pro-Choice, Gun Control Advocates
Let's consider this proposal:
A law calling for the immediate cessation of the production and sale of handguns and semi-automatic and military style assault weapons and high capacity magazines to the general public; also an end to the "gun show" as we know it (gun owners get to keep what they have, just can't buy anything new, other than a shotgun or single shot long rifle)
IN EXCHANGE FOR
A Pro-Life Amendment to the Constitution of the U.S. (with exceptions for rape, incest, life/health of mother); In conjunction, an agreement amongst all the states to put in place progressive EARLY sex education in public schools, birth control support, common sense programs to lower teen pregnancy rates (no "abstention only bullshite"), pre-natal care for poor women, increased support for orphans, and increased support for children with birth defects or mental illness.
Who on the Right or Left could live with that?
