Hit Zillow up and punch in a few area codes with that price range. 70817 has a few decent subdivisions in that area. Azalea Lake area

If you really want to find something in BR, you should look in this area, which is off of Highland Road, not far from LSU, and convenient to alot of things. The homes are older, but well kept and on nice lots with yards. This one has been updated. 846 WYLIE DR BATON ROUGE, LA 70808 LINK

At this price, I would just re-do this kitchen. Well, I'd have my husband do the work! I just always like this part of BR. Had a cousin who lived there when I was at LSU. Wish I had the money to buy this as a rental.

I would go with Capital Heights or Old Goodwood. I've seen some nice places off of Government near Our Lady of Mercy going for around 180,000.

I can understand when it is a remodeled house with some character... but for something that needs total rehab.. idk.. i have been looking there are homes in southdowns you can get for under $90 sqft... so $130 in Kenilworth seems hi

Neighborhoods off Gardere Rd. Heard they are cheap and conveniently located.
