And apparently, the President is tired of being told that we spend too much. The deficit is related to out of control health care spending and the President has fixed that with Obamacare.
Apparently a couple of tweaks on the revenue side and everything is going to be hunky-dory. Thoughts?

As stated in the Snopes thread, the only way this BS passes muster is the MSM carrying stories with validity equal to "Batboy eats babies". We don't have a spending problem?

I don't doubt that obama would have said somethng like this but its not like boehner is a credible source IMHO.

Has Obama ever had a regular salary from some job, community organizing or whatever, within the means of which he had to live?
I ask seriously, because from what I have seen, his basic living provisions, housing and transportation, have pretty much always been given to him with "special" deals that are not available to the average American.
The point being, if you never really have to worry about a great home to live in and how to get around, you really don't ever care much about spending within your means.

The story gains credibility by President Obama's actions. No balanced approach, 41:1 ratio of tax increases to spending cuts, and his subsequent statements that we need to do more on the revenue side since the "fiscal cliff" was averted (allegedly).

It's not like the media will press the question, so it comes down to he-said/he-didn't-say.
Considering that the President has pushed so hard for tax hikes and has not pushe for spending cuts, is also pushing for the debt ceiling increase while not pushing for spending cuts... I find it easier to believe than to discredit (actions speak louder than words).

Sure, can you give me a link to a specific spending cut proposal, totaling more than $500B, pushed by Boehnersince the election? I mean specific, and I mean cuts, not reduce in the rate of growth.
I haven't seen spending cuts proposed by either side.
