Geezus.....I knew there was a provision put in place 2 years as a temporary "give back" I didn't recall the fricking percentage......excuse the hell out of me.

Why in the hell wasn't this cut, but extended? shite if they're giving out free money, why not reward the folks who are working over the folks who are on vacation...err....unemployed. The longer people are getting unemployment, the longer they have little motivation to take a job.

Because that would've required a vote. Without having to vote on it, it would have expired at the end of the year as it was designed to do in the original bill. Which is exactly what happened.
