This is a marxist (if not outright marxist) leaning administration. The fact that a mom in Georgia, or anywhere else in America had to use deadly force to protect herself and her children does not matter to them, other than as an oppertunity to demonize the so-called "Guns and Bible" crowd (BHO emphasis not mine). Most free thinking Americans (yes there are a few)instinctively understand that the goal of the radicals in this administration is eventual confiscation of all privately owned weapons.
I would argue that 'Fast and Furious' was a backdoor (literally) effort to create a scenario where the government could make the argument that we need a ban on all weapons. Modus Operandi......BHO starts with a ban on privately owned assault weapons....then he works his way down to handguns and shotguns. Simple.
My hope is that freedom loving Americans who believe in 2nd Admendment and the right to defend yourself against intruders (and a tyranical government) will rise up to stop this assault on the 2nd Admendment.
We had better.....

Unfortunately, this nails the liberal mindset when it comes to home invasion. Call 9-1-1 and just pray they make it there in time before you or your family is hurt. An intruder does not deserve to get shot. Liberals and their sympathy towards criminals remains mind boggling.

There are so many negatives here. Where do I begin?
First off, this intruder needs to sue the ever living shite out of this woman, the city, and the local newspaper.
First, had the local newspaper been kind enough to publish the city's gun owners, this poor Obama supporter wouldn't have had to meet this cruel fate. He can sue the city as well for not demanding the local paper do this.
Second, the home owner is at fault here:
Why should she have a safe, caring home, while this Democrat doesn't? Clearly she's a selfish cunt. Now, in all of her selfishness, she's literally ruined this guy's physical appearance for life. Not only that, how is this former felon going to approach home invasions in the future without be a frightened that he could be shot again?
Some positives:
Now the tax payers will get to pay for his recovery, and rightfully so. Maybe we can also hook him up with some Obamacare once he's healed. Poor guy shouldn't have to foot the bill for injuries he wasn't responsible. There is some justice here.
Am I missing any other silver linings?

Does it make you guys feel better to create this straw man liberal who opposes a person's right to self defense? Have you seen any of these liberals on this board? You're arguing with people who don't exist on this board.
I have a gun and I'd have no problem using it in the case of a home invasion.

What higher use could anything have than defending the weak/innocent from the strong/nefarious?
Guns are more important than cars, as anyone who has ever needed a gun could tell you.

And no one has picked it up. I hate when conservative wingnuts doctor articles to serve only their side. I see it time and time on this board.
She shot him five times. She missed once.
If they put at in the title, it would be correct, but she only shot him five times. She shot at him six times.
Anyways, please tell me I don't need to live through every single time a gun is legally used to shoot someone or somebody is going to start posting threads of every time a firearm is discharged illegally. Guess which sides will have more threads?
Look, we all know this. But there is this thing called the second amendment. That is pretty clear on the matter. If you want to amend it, you can try. That is legal and the right of everyone in this country. And the constitution itself states that it can be changed and clearly shows how to change it.
But I think by now we both understand the for and against arguments here. Both have merit. But at this point the second amendment trumps either side.

The 2nd Amendment recognizes the right but is not the source of it.

Actually some things do trump self defense.
Stand your ground is applicable in many states but not all situations.
Also it doesn't say how that defense should be performed.
If you can't own a gun, that doesn't mean you can't defend yourself. It means you can't defend yourself with a gun.
Lots of people are barred from owning guns. They still have a right to defend themselves. Just not with a gun.
I understand what you are trying to say, but technically you are wrong. The right to self defense, while pretty much a recognized right, doesn't say you can defend yourself with a gun.
The second amendment does recognize the right to keep and bare arms however. Even this does not allow all people to defend themselves with a gun.
