My drake waders have a leak in the crotch area which seems to be a common problem. I have been researching, and it looks like the Cabela's Supermag 1600 are working well for everyone.

All waders will eventually leak it is an inevitability. You can either drop $$$ and get a pair with a good no questions asked lifetime warrenty that the manufacturer will repair or spend less money and do the repairs yourself.

I've only owned Redhead in my lifetime but I got a pair of Allen waders on clearance at Midway USA a few weeks ago. First impression is good, looks well made and fits well.

Do you know if cabelas repairs everything with their lifetime warranty? I ripped a whole in a boot this weekend.

I got a pair of Drake LST's that have held up well the last 2 seasons. Seems like their quality is hit and miss though on waders. Seems everyone's waders are that way. Heard a lot of good about the supermags though

i have a pair of Drake Equawader - heavy, durable, warm. Toughest pair ive ever had....but they are expensive. I dropped $300 on them, these are my 3rd season in them - and i am hard on waders.

The ones that I have had last the longest were regular old rubber waders. They lasted me at least 5 years with no problems. They might not be the coolest looking ones on the block, but they worked better than anything else for me

I'd use all rubber ones if I was a duck hunter. No way the neoprene stuff holds up as well as regular ol rubber.

That's what I have Boss. Besides the crotch leak, I have nothing bad to say about them at all. Extremely warm and comfortable, and it only leaks when I get right below chest deep and the pressure builds up enough. I think I am on year 4 or 5 with them, so they have definately done me right for the lifespan.

Yes they do. I've had the same pair of Lacrosse neoprene waders since September 2005. I've hunted hard in them every year since then and they still don't leak. When they start to leak, I'll drop the dime and buy another pair of Lacrosse.

I've always been told Lacrosse is the French word for "leaky crotch". I reckon they are hit and miss too. A guy could make him a friggin killing if he could come up with a dang good wader that would last no less than 5 years.

I have a pair of Rocky waders that I got probably 10-12 yrs ago. They will need to be replaced soon, but as of yet they have never had a leak. It's safe to say that they will be the best pair of waders I will ever own.

Cabela's has a model called Brush Buster. I had a pair for years. I swear you could take a chainsaw to them and you still couldn't tear there. Hardest duck hunting lesson I have learned over the years has been with waders. Truly, you get what you pay for with waders.
