Reid is a fricking millstone around Obama's neck, imo. As is Pelosi. I would never suggest that Sandy wasn't a tragedy for many people in the Northeast, but nobody can argue it was on the same scale as Katrina.

The nice thing for Harry is that he can say whatever the frick he wants and absolutely nothing will happen to him. It must be nice to not have to worry about any negative consequences.

That's news to a lot of people in Louisiana and Mississippi. Plus I think (not sure, someone on here might be able to look it up) the feds have already given assistance in the Sandy zone. They just need to authorize more.
I doubted it, too but felt it wasn't worth the energy to call them out. Anyone who would attempt to defend Reid for saying something so stupid is not going to be open to truth.

Just curious. Why should a Democrat defend him if he/she doesn't agree with him? I'll hang up and listen.

Thanks for the links to the pics. I browsed a few, and then closed it. I'm done looking back at all that. I've seen enough, and lived enough of it to finally put it to bed. I'm grateful to see where New Orleans is today, after thinking it was done for in that aftermath. I still wish the Mississippi Coast would come back stronger. But, I hope I never see that kind of destruction again. It was surreal to see first-hand, and that's how I'd like to remember it.

Forget how absolutely idiotic it is to compare the two storms from a PR standpoint, the two storms aren't even comparable: 120mph Category 3 vs. "Superstorm" downgraded from a Cat 1 before landfall. A death toll of 18 times more despite being in a much less populated area. Just look at the extent of 50mph+ sustained winds compared to Sandy. It's a joke. They shouldn't even be mentioned together. VOR You have the right to admonish him too. Haven't seen any of the locals saying much of anything.

Sandy was not even a hurricane when it hit. Reid continues to be a clueless prick. I hope that he chokes on a dick.

Harry Reid is a moron. I wish he would have had the same experience as one of my family members during Hurricane Katrina. Then we wouldn't hear anything from him because he wouldn't be here anymore.

I hope people flood his office with e-mails and phone calls.......what a piece of shite. Though this will all blow over in a couple days since he was dem and no one will give a shite. If a Republican had made the same comments the race mongers would be coming out of the woodwork in droves. All of their they only care about rich folks would be on the table. Absolutely sickens me......I've been watching sports all day, any of this catch on nationally?

At the nine day mark Katrina victims in NOLA were getting around to being evacuated from the flood waters.

Note to Reid; the government you are blasting for not taking action, isn't your savior Obummer in charge of that? Guess they'll still blame Bush.

This is a great example of how the media portrayed Katrina. Notice he's talking about Katrina and New Orleans. Katrina's devastation was way more destructive to the Mississippi Gulf Coast than New Orleans. New Orleans was destroyed by water getting in past broken levees. If you look at the devastation on the Mississippi Gulf Coast there is no way Sandy comes close. But the high density of people living in Sandy's path has made it a very costly storm. The media has made Katrina all about New Orleans for obvious political reasons. I've never seen destruction like I have seen on the Mississippi Gulf coast from Camille and Katrina.

But nowhere near as costly as Hurricane Katrina was.

This is because the media isn't biased and Americans aren't stupid.
