Is the damage from Sandy as high as 65b? I thought it was estimated at only 24b is the entire reason for the trouble getting the porked up emergency funding passed.
Also, remember that wreck Reid had several weeks ago? I know a lot of people who were more excited about that then SB44. Myself included.

I'm pretty sure that 24b is correct. The bill they were trying to pass was 65b due to dems trying to hide their wasteful spending in the tune of triple the actual value.

Story time: Lady from NJ called looking for parts, asked where we from. We said La and her response was, "Oh, how do live down there with all them hurricanes? I couldn't do it. I would have to move someplace safer."
Two weeks later Sandy hits NJ. I wonder if she is considering moving now?

Saw this posted on FB & the lib response was that Reid was referring to the "fact" that those affected by Katrina received Fed assistance in 9 days while Sandy victims are still waiting 60+ days later. I didn't bother looking this up to see if its true bc I don't care enough about anything Reid says.

That's news to a lot of people in Louisiana and Mississippi.
Plus I think (not sure, someone on here might be able to look it up) the feds have already given assistance in the Sandy zone. They just need to authorize more.

Those facts don't matter. Didn't you watch CNN and MSNBC? Katrina was merely a "Hurricane" ...Sandy on the other hand was a "Superstorm"
