You stupid frick. Horton didn't coach WR/TE's here. He coached RB's from 2008 on which if you didn't notice had a bad case of the fumblitis, which only got worse every season. I for one wanted him to be finally be held accountable for his piss poor coaching and horrible hit rate on recruiting prospects.

I hope he does well for you guys. It's just interesting watching most of the aubbies on here go crazy about him. As for his instate recruiting I remember hearing how kids liked him but none of them liked him enough to go here.

This is what doesn't make any sense to me. The state of Arkansas is not a recruiting hot bed. Malzahn and Lashlee should be able to recruit the few recruits they go after in Arkansas. I don't understand why you hire a guy who for the last 5 years has recruited mainly Arkansas and is not considered a great talent developer.

Wait, if Horton is such a terrible recruiter why was he the "key" to stealing Altee Tenpenny away from Alabama, if he was retained on the Arkansas staff by Bielema?

says who? Bielema is the key to getting Tenpenny, Horton has had 3 years and lock him up.

Yeah, Tenpenny committing in January to Bama was when we didn't have a head coach or anything we were only 11-2 ranked in the top 5.

I think the current plan is to get a better rb coach than Horton and just sign alex Collins instead.

Agreed. Arkansas has a handful of players worth going after each year. However, 2014 looks to have a few more players to consider than usual. I don't know whether Horton will be a benefit on AU's staff or not, only time will tell. This thread has been played out. Nothing more to discuss, argue, flame, or debate.

I've wanted Horton and Allen to take non-sideline jobs for the last 3 years. Our recruiting hasn't been good and we haven't even been locking up all the instate guys
