I'm still waiting for flights to CR to go down. 2 months away this week....they should hopefully drop soon. I can't book my travel package until I book my flights

We waited for Belize tickets to go down and they never did. Finally bit the bullet and just never checked them again.

Well right now if I look for a departure date one week before my actual date....the price goes down a decent bit and the one nonstop flight they have drops from $900 to like $575.
So I'm hoping in a week I can book.
ETA: Just makes me antsy to not have anything booked yet

I want airfare under $700 each, right now only thing that cheap has us with like 3 connecting flights with like 5 hour layovers at each stop. Hell no to that.

We did BR to Dallas to Miami to Belize. Granted we went through Miami so we could stay on South Beach. Think there was a one stop in Houston/Dallas. That's what we did for the return flight.
Check to see how many open seats they have on the direct flight, might be filling up.

I tried everything when booking my honeymoon and I could not do better than going directly through the Airline. I don't understand these places that say they can save you money. If I had booked the flight with the agency that I booked the Hotel with, I would have paid more and it wouldn't have been a direct flight. Do a private pick up at the air port, if it's available where you are going.

We always do this. It makes you feel a hell of a lot more relaxed knowing someone will be there and everything is going to be smooth. Usually the expense is minimal in the grand scheme of the trip.

All our transportation is included in the package I'm buying. We are going to 3 different parts of CR so I did NOT want to have to deal with driving.

I am gonna ask my coworker to watch our dogs for us. She watched them for free one weekend when we went to Page, AZ. We will be gone 10 days...you think $300 is fair? I don't feel right letting her watch them for free. If I boarded them elsewhere I'm looking at having to pay $500 on up.

do you have any interns or anything where you work? they were the best resource ever for when we needed dog sitting.
but imo $300 is a good price
if you wait till summer the prices will go way down, it's the season to go to cr right now. we went to cr a couple of summers ago for cheap. Direct flight too

I'm not one to ask, good friend is a vet so all of our stuff is always free.
I think $300 is more than enough. I hope they have you a hell of a wedding present.

We are going March 7-16. US airways has a direct flight. Now it is $1000 when I look with our dates, but when I modify my search to the week or two before that...price is down to $600(with fees).
I'm just mad cause that same flight was $550 right after we got back from the wedding...but I didn't have the money to book then
