Will charcoal lighter fluid work in a zippo? Got one for Christmas and I'm ready to torch something.

It might work, it might also blow your hand off. I have no idea.

Not recommended, as it is kerosene based, and the flash point is too low, and this would make lighting difficult. The regular liquid fluid is 100% Naptha, which can be purchased at hardware stores in pint sized cans, not little 4 oz cans.

Just a little squirt of unleaded gasoline would be much cheaper. Let me know how that turns out.

Man, that's a blast from the past. I have one with an ESSO emblem on it somewhere, used to collect lighters.

Just don't over-fill that thing and stick it in your pants pocket. That shite will blister and burn like hell. (No pun intended.)

Make sure you fill it up correctly. I fricked something up once when filling one up while inside a gas station after I bought it. The sell them empty so I bought a bottle of fluid while there as well. Well needless to say, when testing it before leaving the SOB caught fire in my hand. Managed to throw it out the door without burning the place down. Blistered the frick outa me.
