Very impressive. Especially since we aren't taking a RB this year, I am all about taking 2-3 in 2014. I would love to have he and Fournette in 2014.

Good highlights, but I would take Darrell Williams over him, and put him slightly ahead of Chris Thomas, in-state as a second RB option

With you GA but we need someone with the explosiveness that Palelei has in the '14 class. My fix, take all 3. Think we'll likely take a shot at one of the quick, shifty OOS kids 1st but it may be quicker and safer to just take Palelei if he isn't set on one of the Utah schools. We just need a different style of back to put with our power guys. Why I hope Brazil plays RB.

I know it likely won't happen, but I wish Racean Thomas would see the loaded backfield at Alabama and see some opportunity at LSU, but it doesn't look like we are recruiting him and he seems to be all Alabama regardless. Don't understand why we aren't since we could use Kwon to help recruit him

It would shock me if he ends up at LSU. He is a bad fit for a Les Miles offense. Michael Ford is an undersized back in a Les Miles offense and he is in the 205lb range. Les likes them at least 6'0" and 225lbs plus. Les doesn't know what to do with smaller backs. These smaller backs like Palelei can be dangerous but have to be used properly. I have seen Palelei in person and he is around 5'8" to 5'9" and around 180-185 no matter what the programs says. For this kid's sake I hope he plays in a more wide open offense where he can be used properly.

You might want to tell Les that, then. Les has told him and the family they want him as a change of pace back. No comparison to Michael Ford at all, Ford has no change of direction whatsoever. You are also wrong on the weight, he is every bit of 190 now. He benches 305, squats 595 and ran a 4:37 just before school broke for the Holidays.

Have heard the same about him being a solid 190 and not to let his speed and shiftyness fool you, he can run with power.(similar to how everyone overlloks how strong and well built Brazil is) As far as him not fitting the offense, we have to try something different. What we currently do doesn't work. We need kids that can test the edge of the line of scrimmage consistently. Even if they're used mostly as decoys, those speedy guys are needed. As for Les not knowing how to use a kid like Palelei, when has Les had a kid like Palelei? I keep hearing how we don't know how to use those type of backs but the truth is, we've never had one. Anyone that brings up Gore doesn't know what kind of back Gore really was.(hint he wasn't anything like Palelei). The closest things to a shifty, speedy back we've had was Holliday(way too small to be a consistent force) and Shepard(would you put the ball in his hands more than 3-4 times in the running game). I just do:kt get the constant comment about how Les doesn't know how to utilize speedier backs. There's no basis or factual evidence to prove it.

Agreed, Fanva. I'm pretty sure Les had smaller, quicker backs at OSU as well, with Gundy being his OC.

I play with him at East Ascension and I can't begin to say how great he is. He is very underrated and underestimated. But watching the power, speed, and passion he has is undeniable. Les would be one stupid guy to pass on him. Boo (his nickname on the team and what everyone in the school calls him) is easily a Top 10 player in the Louisiana Class of 2014.

I disagree. And it's no slight to the kid. But the way the state is loaded next year, I don't think he's top 10. He could still be a really, really good player and not even be top 15. Louisiana goes deep next year.

Until you watch him in person you really don't understand how good this guy is. We played Catholic this year, got DOMINATED, but Sione probably had a 200 All-purpose yard game even with a below-average QB. This year his stock is bound to increase.

Clean had him as number 10, but got overruled by his national guy, who hasn't seen him in person, fwiw...

Wow! Kudos to the kid who ran him down at about 33 seconds into the video.

Smaller/stouter backs like this are the new breed. Hope they take him, but don't really trust Miles to give him some run

He's at 190 now, benching over 300 and squatting 595. He may not be all that small, considering his parents are big. Miles also liked that there are a bunch more coming up in this family. He keeps in close touch with Boo's Dad and saw each other at each home game.
