| A+, Network+, Security+ (Posted on 1/3/13 at 1:47 pm)
Will be taking all three of these in the next 6 months. The order will be A+, Network+, then Security+. Any suggestions or advice?

Don't waste your time with A+ unless you want to work in a help desk

Possibly, or you could pigeon hole yourself. I would rather everyone know I don't know that stuff

A+ is two exams, thats a lot of money to waste on a resume builder. if you dont have a job in IT somewhere now, I guess its worth it. which direction do you want to go? networking? NAS? Microsoft? white hat hacking?

get experience...volunteer if you have to. looks better on a resume than certs if you're entry level.

Network + and Security + will get more attention when seen on a resume. A+ is really good if you're just starting out but honestly the only companies that would really require it would be for a help desk position or a local repair shop.
