We are staying on Ocean Dr. in South Beach for the first couple of days and then heading down to Key West for the last couple. I don't know much about either place but plan on grabbing some drinks at The Clevelander and just strolling around I guess but help on the best restaurants/bars would be appreciated. We are going deep sea fishing one day in Key West and staying off of Duval St. Help on restaurants/bars and anywhere that we should stop on the drive down from Miami would be great.

A cuban sandwich in the wrong part of town during daylight hours. I think the Capital Grill in Miami's financial district is a great steak house even if it is a chain. If you want to get off the SB scene, head over to coconut grove for shopping, dining and clubs/bars.

There is only one real beach (with sand) in Key West: Smathers Beach. The rest of the beaches in the Keys are a clay-like material.

I saw there is a direct flight from MSY to Key West on Southwest, and the rates are pretty cheap in the Spring..
